Jurnal Pertanian Agros (JPA) publishes original research articles, reviews articles from contributors, and reviews of books related to agriculture, including: crops, horticulture, plantations, animal husbandary, fisheries,  forestry, and agricultural economics

Peer Review Process

All manuscripts are reviewed by the reviewer in a "double-blind" manner, conducted within three to four weeks. The results of the manuscript review will be sent back to the author if there is any substantive correction to be corrected and authorized. The results of the author's correction are sent back to the publisher the longest in two weeks. The editor shall have the right to arrange the manuscript in such a way as to comply with the rules of loading the manuscript or rejecting the manuscript concerned

 

Open Access Policy

This journal provides open access to its content based on the principle that research results are freely available to the public in order to support greater global knowledge exchange.

Jurnal Pertanian Agros (e-ISSN 2528-1488) is an Open Access journal, which is free to access and read on the Internet.

Author whose work is accepted for publication is subjected to pay IDR 750,000 per article (starting from October 2024 edition)

 

Archiving

This journal utilizes the LOCKSS system to create a distributed archiving system among participating libraries and permits those libraries to create permanent archives of the journal for purposes of preservation and restoration. More...

 

Ethical statements of publications and malpractice

Agros Journal of Agriculture (JPA) publishes scientific articles on agriculture such as crops, horticulture, plantations, animal husbandry, fisheries, forestry, and agricultural economics

JPA publishes peer-reviewed articles to develop a coherent and respected network of agro-science knowledge. It is important to agree on standards of ethical conduct for all parties involved in publishing actions: authors, journal editors, peer reviewers, publishers, and the public.

The Agricultural Faculty of the University of Janabadra and the Agribusiness Association of Indonesia as the publisher of JPA undertakes the trust duties of all stages of the publishing process and we recognize the ethical and other responsibilities

Standard of writing

The author of the article should present accurate and objective data. The act of falsifying data or information is unethical and unacceptable behavior

Data access and retention

Authors may be required to provide raw data in connection with papers for editorial reviews, and should be prepared to provide public access to such data, where possible, and should be prepared to retain such data for a reasonable time after publication. .

Originality and plagiarism

Authors must ensure that their work is original, and if the author uses the work and / or the words of others, it must be accompanied by the source of quotations appropriately. Plagiarism in all its forms is unethical and unacceptable behavior.

Multiple publications

A writer should not publish a manuscript that describes the same research in more than one journal or publication. Sending the same script to more than one journal simultaneously is unethical and unacceptable publishing behavior.

Recognition of source

Recognition of the work of others must always be included. Personally-obtained information, such as in conversations, correspondence, or discussions with third parties, may not be used or reported without the written permission of the source.

The names of authors

The author's name should be limited to those who have actually contributed significantly to the conception, design, implementation, or interpretation of reported research. Anyone who has made a significant contribution should be registered as a coauthor. If there are others who have participated in certain substantive aspects of the research project, they must be recognized or registered as contributors

Fundamental errors in published works

When an author discovers a significant error or inaccuracy in his / her own published work, it is the author's obligation to promptly notify the journal editor or publisher and cooperate with the editor to retract or correct the paper.

Publication decisions

The editor of JPA is responsible for deciding which articles should be published. The validation of the work in question and its importance to researchers and readers must always drive such decisions. The editor may be guilty of libel, copyright infringement and plagiarism. The editor may confer with other editors or reviewers in making this decision.

Fair play

An editor should evaluate manuscripts for their intellectual content without regard to race, gender, sexual orientation, religious belief, ethnic origin, citizenship, or political philosophy of the authors.

Involvement and cooperation in investigations

An editor should take reasonably responsive measures when ethical complaints have been presented. Such measures will generally include the publication of a complaint, and Correction, retraction, expression of concern, or other note, as may be relevant. Every reported act of unethical publishing must be discovered years after publication.

Contribution to editorial decisions

Peer review helps editors in making editorial decisions and can communicate with writers in order to improve articles. Peer review becomes an important component of scholarly articles

Any reviewer who feels ineligible to review an article submitted or knows that he or she is unable to review the submitted article should notify the editor

Confidentiality

Any manuscript received for review should be treated as a confidential document. They may not be indicated or discussed with anyone other than those authorized by the editor.

Standards of objectivity

Reviews should be done objectively. The author's personal criticism is not right. Referees should express their views clearly with supporting arguments.

Recognition of source

The reviewer should identify relevant works of publications that have not been quoted by the author. Any statement that an observation, derivation, or argument has been previously reported must be accompanied by the relevant quotation. A reviewer should also call the editor's attention on the similarity or overlap between the manuscript being considered and other publication papers with personal knowledge.

Disclosure and conflict of interest

Unpublished material should not be used in the reviewer's own research without the written consent of the author. The privileged information obtained through peer review should be kept confidential and not used for personal gain.
