This study aims at providing empirical evidence regarding to the influence of information and clear and measurable goals on the use of performance measurement system and the impact on the performance of public sector organizations. The population was local government units in Klaten Regency. The data was analized by partial least square (PLS) with SmartPLS Version 3.0. The findings showed an empirical evidence that the informations and clear and measurable goals are positively relate to the using of performance measurement system for exploratory purposes. The finding also showed that exploratory-use have positive impact on performance.
