EFEKTIFITAS PENAMBAHAN MATOS® PADA STABILISASI SEMEN TANAH BERBUTIR HALUS

ABTRACT
One of the chemical soil stabilization material is cement. Matos® is added to the soil-cement stabilization to remove humic acid on the particles surface so the bond between the soil-cement particles become strong. However, the effectiveness of the Matos® on cement stabilization of fine grained soil has not been widely studied. This research studied the effectiveness of the Matos® on the cement stabilization of clay high plasticity. Unconfined compression test performed on native soil, soil-cement, soil-cement- Matos® with one day curring time. The variation of cement used is 4%, 8% and 12% by dry soil weight. The unconfined compression test results showed the increased value of UCS of cement-soil-stabilizer against UCS of soil-cement is 9.47% (addition of 4% cement), 13.58 (8% addition of cement), and 17.25% (addition of cement 12%).
