ANALISIS KEAUSAN KAMPAS REM PADA SEPEDA MOTOR

ABSTRACT

Motor cycle needs maintenance and change of spare part regularly, for instance brake pad.  Brake is one of the component that is important for safety. It is used to decelerate, control and stop the rotation of the wheel. There are many kind of product of brake pad  in the market. AHM ( Astra Honda Motor) is a factory product that is different compare with INDOPART which has many grade of quality.  The aim of this research is to analysis the wearing out of  brake pads and then compare of the two brand of  brake pad. The method of  the experiment  was using new sample both two brand. Specimens were analyzed  to examine the rate of the wearing out of those brake pads. Based on the experiment, the rate of the wearing out of  the both  brake pads were decreased and  the rate of the wearing out of  brake pad of Astra Honda Motor  lower than INDOPART.
