ABSTRACT

The development of information and communication technology makes it easier for everyone to obtain information in various ways. One example is for those who need language translation information to access via the internet, previously only using a dictionary. However, not all of them have the facility to easily access the internet, especially in remote areas where internet access has not been touched at all. For this reason, a language translator application based on SMS Gateway was developed. This SMS Gateway-based language translator application is built with five main things, namely Gammu as the SMS Gateway server, PHP as the programming language, MySQL as the database server, Macromedia as the PHP script writer editor and Google translate as the language translation server.
