PENGGUNAAN ASPAL BUTON TIPE RETONA BLEND 55 SEBAGAI BAHAN SUSUN CAMPURAN HRS-B

ABSTRACT

Using of modified asphalt with natural asphalt is another alternative to increase mixing quality. Usually asphalt the aim of modified asphalt to decrease asphalt penetration. For that it is needed see the benefit of using modified asphalt than the natural asphalt. In this research HRS-B mix using 5 asphalt content variation that was 6%, 6, 5%, 7%, 7,5%, 8%. 15 specimen made using asphalt penetration 60/70 and 15 specimen using modified asphalt with natural asphalt with each asphalt content three specimen. Using conventional HRS-B mix as the comparison with the Buton asphalt HRS-B mix Retona Blend 55 type which was marshall characteristic to determine the different about optimum asphalt content, density, VMA, VFA,  VIM, stability, flow and Marshall Quotient. The HRS-B mix experiment for optimum asphalt content result for conventional asphalt 7,833% and for buton asphalt retona blend 55 type 7,984 %. According to optimum asphalt content for conventional asphalt obtained stability 1193,182 kg, and 1468,182 kg. for the result above it can be stated that buton asphalt retona blend 55 type in HRS-B mix increasing stability 18,71% which in the brochure increasing up to 30% than conventional asphalt much more less stated in the brochure.
