STRATEGI PENGEMBANGAN UMKM PRODUK LOKAL DI KABUPATEN TEBO PROVINSI JAMBI

Abstract


One of the local product based on agribusiness in Tebo District is Tempe Chips. Developing strategy of Tempe Chip SMEs is important, because there are high competition between snack products. This study aims to formulate a strategy for developing Tempe Chips SMEs that will be recommended to the district government. We conducted interviews with seven Tempe Chip entrepreneurs, government, and expert to identify the internal and external environment of the business. The data were analyzed qualitatively using Miles and Huberman model. Strategy formulation tools using SWOT and QSPM matrices. The strategy we recommend is to make Tempe Chips as local superior product. Product innovation is very important so that tempe chips have product competitiveness. In addition, government support is also important in business development.

INTISARI

Salah satu produk lokal berbasis agribisnis di Kecamatan Tebo adalah Keripik Tempe. Persaingan yang tinggi antar produk makanan ringan, menjadi dasar yang penting untuk perumusan strategi pengembangan UMKM yang memproduksi Keripik Tempe. Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk membuat formulasi strategi pengembangan UMKM Keripik Tempe yang akan direkomendasikan kepada pemerintah setempat. Wawancara dilakukan terhadap tujuh pelaku usaha Keripik Tempe, pihak dinas, dan pakar untuk mengidentifikasi lingkungan internal dan eksternal bisnis. Analisis data dilakukan  secara kualitatif menggunakan model Miles and Huberman. Formulasi strategi menggunakan matriks SWOT dan matriks QSPM. Strategi yang direkomendasikan adalah menjadikan Keripik Tempe sebagai produk unggulan lokal. Dalam hal ini, perlu dukungan pemerintah setempat dalam pengembangan UMKM Keripik Tempe.
